Chat Stops are our monthly Social Gatherings
CHATSTOPS – All Members and friends are very welcome
Our Chatstops are held on the first Friday of each month, except for January, July, August and September.
Chatstops are free including a free cup of tea and a biscuit.
VENUE: War Memorial Hall, Tudor Road, Broadstone. BH18 8AW
We have a range of PHSG branded clothing that is available to buy.
Paperback books and raffle prizes are always gratefully received.
Chatstop Season is Open…
A big thank you to Bruce Evans, a PHSG member from Swanage, for entertaining everyone with popular songs at our November Chatstop. The wet weather meant attendance was down which was a big shame. Many thanks also to the refreshments, rafffle and secondhand books teams.
Friday 5th December
The Sing with a Grin choir will return to provide some music and song for the Festive season.
Mrs Pickles will also be present with her delicious array of chutneys and festive tasties for people to purchase.
And of course there will be a Raffle, (prizes gratefully accepted), secondhand books and PHSG branded clothing for sale…. Plus free tea and mince pies.
FUTURE CHATSTOPS:
JANUARY. No chatstop.
Friday 6th February. Colin Elkins will give a talk on the history of Broadstone that provides some interesting facts on who once resided here and the reasons on how Broadstone has developed over the years.
Friday 6th March. Richard and Sally will sing and provide music from past decades which are familiar.
This will be on FRIDAY 11th APRIL as the first Friday in April is Good Friday.
Friday 1st May.
Friday 5th June. AGM and quiz
Chatstop will close down for the summer and reopen again in October 2026.
